Academic Search Complete - a multi-disciplinary database providing full text for 4,650+ journals, including full text for 3,900+ peer-reviewed titles. 

ATLA - the premier index to journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays in all fields of religion; includes 555,000+ article citations, 232,000+ essay citations, 511,000+ book review citations, and 266,000+ full text electronic articles and book reviews from 1,656 journals.  

Chemistry - provides access to over 3,134 journal articles many of which are full text, 7,345 books and 119 reference works

Chronicle of Higher Education - weekly news and job information source for college and university faculty members, administrators, and students.

CINAHL - Nursing & Allied Health - the world's most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for 600+ journals, dating back to 1981. 

Communication & Mass Media Complete - provides the most robust, quality research solution in areas related to communication and mass media, offering indexing and abstracts for 460+ journals and full text for 350 journals.  

Education Research Complete - provides indexing and abstracts for 2,150+ journals, and full text for 1,200 journals and 500 books and monographs;  topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education. 

Encyclopedia Britannica -a set of comprehensive reference works containing articles on a wide range of subjects.

Environmental Complete - offers coverage in agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, renewable energy sources, natural resources, marine & freshwater science, geography, pollution & waste management, environmental technology, and environmental law from 1,700+ domestic and international titles, including 680+ full text journals and 120+ full text monographs. 

ERIC (Educational Resource Information Center) - provides unlimited access to more than 1.4 million bibliographic records of journal articles and other education-related materials.

Film & Television Literature Index - On Campus: Access through NC Live; go to Academic Search Complete; type Film & Television Literature Index on the search line. Off-Campus: go to www.nclive.org; click Academic Search Complete and type Film & Television Literature Index on the search line. 

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia -provides 25,000+ encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.

GreenFile - Environmental Science - a collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more; provides indexing and abstracts for 384,000+ records and full text for 4,700+ records. 

Health Sciences - includes 2,900 articles in medicine and dentistry, pharmacology, toxicology, and veterinary medicine.

Health Source - Consumer Edition - provides access to 80 full text, consumer health magazines. 

Health Source - Nursing / Academic Edition - provides 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines; also features the Lexi-PAL Drug Guide, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names. 

Humanities International Complete - includes full text for 890+ journals and books.

JSTOR (Journal Storage)  - online archive of multi-discipline journal articles.

Library, Information Science, & Technology Abstracts - indexes more than 500 core journals, more than 50 priority journals, and 125 selective journals; coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more.  

Middle Search Plus - provides full text for 140+ popular, middle school magazines, 84,774 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 440,207 photos, maps and flags. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator. 

Military & Government Collection - offers a collection of periodicals, academic journals, including full text for 300 journals, pertaining to all branches of the military and government. 

National Library of Medicine (NLM) -  largest biomedical library; supports and conducts research, development, and training in biomedical informatics and health information technology.

NC LIVE - free online access to eBooks, audio books, videos, online magazines, newspapers & journals.

Newsbank - Find current and archived state, national and international articles on issues, events, people, government and more with over 4,000 full-text newspapers and other sources including the News and Observer (1991-Current),  New York Times (1985-Current), Washington Post (1977-Current), Access Business News, Access International News, Access Military, Government, and Defense, Access Newswires & Transcripts.

Oxford Music Online - includes a subscription to Oxford Companion to Music and Oxford Dictionary of Music.

Primary Search - provides full text for 70+ popular, magazines for elementary school research. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator.  

ProQuest Sociology - gives users access to the full-text of more than 310 journals in sociology and social work. This collection provides full-text coverage of many core titles included in Sociological Abstracts and Social Services Abstracts.

Regional Business News - provides comprehensive full text coverage for 80+ regional business publications covering all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States.  

Safari Tech Books Online - provides access to more than 21,000 digital books and videos on topics that include technology, business, creative digital media, personal and professional development resources and training videos.
