Welcome to the Shaw University official Commencement web site.  This site has been created to assist graduation candidates, families, faculty, and staff in preparation for this exciting time of celebrating student achievement.

April 30 – May 3, 2013 Final Exams for Prospective Graduates
May 5, 2013 Senior Worship Service (11:00 AM) 
Main Campus – Thomas  Boyd Chapel
May 10, 2013 Commencement Rehearsal (11:00 AM) 
Main Campus – Spaulding Gymnasium 
(Mandatory for all persons who have completed the Graduation Clearance Process and plan to participate in the Commencement Exercise) 
(Graduates are required to arrive by 10:30 AM; they should bring the academic hood and cap)
May 10, 2013 Baccalaureate Service (6:00 PM) 
Main Campus – Thomas  Boyd Chapel 
(Graduates are required to arrive at 5:15 PM dressed in full academic regalia; line-up will be at the bell tower outside of Thomas Boyd Chapel)
May 11, 2013 Commencement Exercise (11:00 AM) 
Dorton Arena at NC State Fairgrounds 
(Graduates are required to arrive at 8:30 AM dressed in full academic regalia; line-up will be in the Exposition Center)
