"Preaching and the Next Awakening" Fall Lecture Series

August-November 2018

Dr. James. A. Forbes, Jr., Union Theological Seminary Henry Emerson Fosdick Distinguished Professor, will lecture at Shaw University Divinity School to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. Forbes along with other distinguished professors and theologians will lecture on the series entitled “Preaching and the Next Great Awakening.” Lectures will take place in the WEB Lewis Lecture Room located on the 3rd floor in Leonard Hall from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Fall 2018 lectures are free and open to the public. Registration is required.

2018 Annual Women's Conference

Saturday, October 20

The theme of the event is “The Souls of Black and Brown Girls/Women: Learning, Lifting, Leading” and will cover topics such as leadership development, learning in community, personal identity,  sexual violence and sex trafficking, and spirituality. The conference is for people of all ages, genders, and ethnic and racial backgrounds and is designed to provide transformative experiences for attendees. The event will take place in the Thomas J. Boyd Chapel in the heart of our downtown Raleigh campus. 

Cost: $10 Adults | $5 Children/Youth
