Dr. Little Named Top Education Professor
June 13, 2013 – Dr. Bobbie Little, Shaw University Assistant Professor of Elementary Education and Field Placement Coordinator, was chosen as one of StateStats.org's Top 25 Education Professors in North Carolina. Dr. Little was selected based on her influence in the field of education and with her students and as a recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine Award.
StateStats.org - in conjunction with partner website OnlineSchoolsNorthCarolina.com - named its top college professors in North Carolina for 2013. The two sites set out to find post-secondary educators who had been recognized recently for excellence in the classroom, on campus and in the community.
Dr. Little received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine Award from Former North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue in 2012. The Order of the Long Leaf Pine Award is only given to those who have a record of excellence in the state of North Carolina, those who contribute to the community, those who show outstanding career efforts and those who have put in many years of service to their organizations. Thus, the award is the highest honor a North Carolina governor can bestow upon a North Carolina citizen.
