January 28, 2010 - Dr. Yancy has appointed a Shaw Haitian Committee to spearhead the University's efforts to support the Haitian people in the wake of the recent earthquake. The student body has a short term goal of raising $3,000 as a donation to the Haitian relief efforts and the Committee is asking faculty, staff, the Athletic Department and the community at large to make a more significant contribution by matching the $3,000 student goal. The deadline for the short term goal is February 12th one month to the day of the earthquake in Haiti. Let us make a statement that the spirit of giving is "alive and well" at Shaw University!

Individuals should make checks payable to the "Shaw Haitian Campaign". All funds collected will be used exclusively for this project. You may give your donations of cash and/or checks to any of the Committee members listed below:
