Shaw President Takes Listening Tour to Florida |

January 27, 2011 - Shaw President Dr. Irma McClaurin continued her Listening Tour with stops in both Miami and Orlando to meet the alumni chapters in those cities. The events are part of her promise to listen and discuss matters of concern with alumni and other constituencies.
"My goal is to hear the voices of all our constituent donors, but especially our alumni, who are an invaluable asset to the University," said Dr. McClaurin. "Their gifts come in all forms - direct donations, as role models, providing opportunities for current students and more. It is the goal of this administration to continue to see Shaw rise to even greater heights."
During the meeting with the Miami Alumni Chapter, Mrs. Joyce Rolle Williams (Class of 1966) presented Dr. McClaurin with a check for $1,000 for the annual fund. "It is such generosity that will enable Shaw to keep moving towards greater financial sustainability," said Dr. McClaurin.
