February 11, 2011 (Raleigh, NC) – The culmination of months of work occurs February 10 as Shaw’s Gentlemen of Distinction honor their middle school protégés – the newly formed Gentlemen of Excellence – by inducting them into the new group.

The students from Ligon Middle School have been mentored by the Shaw students once a week since the beginning of the school year in everything from math and social studies to how to tie a tie.
