Shaw President’s Radio Show To Feature Bears Champions
(RALEIGH, NC)- The second installment of WSHA’s radio show, “Conversations … A Moment With Shaw University President Dr. Irma McClaurin,” will feature discussions with Shaw coaches and student-athletes from Shaw’s championship teams. The show will air Wednesday, April 20, at noon.
Dr. McClaurin will welcome coaches and athletes from Shaw’s CIAA championship football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball teams. They will discuss the championship runs and the challenges of balancing academics with athletics.
Featured guests will include men’s basketball coach Cleo Hill, Jr. and All-CIAA First Team selection Raheem Smith, women’s assistant coach Ashante Timoll and Victoria Tanner, and Defensive Coordinator Robert Massey and CIAA Defensive Rookie of the Year Darnell Evans. Marcus Clarke, Associate Athletic Director for Compliance will also make an appearance on the show.
Upcoming installments of the show will highlight the various programs and success stories at Shaw as well as delve into the short-term and long-range plans for the university.
