of the sponsors of the bill. "It
brings honor to Raleigh, Wake County and the entire state of North
Carolina." Gill spoke after a full
reading of the resolution and recognition of Shaw guests in the gallery.
Rep. Deborah Ross (Wake), a

well as acknowledging the role Title IX has played in the rise of women's
collegiate athletics.
The other primary co-sponsors
of the bill were Rep. Larry Hall (Durham) and Rep. Darren Jackson (Wake).
The resolution also honored
