WCPSS Assistant Superintendent Visits Shaw's Early Childhood Center
May 16, 2013 - Wake County Public School System Assistant Superintendent of Student Support Services, Dr. Marvin Connelly, visited Shaw University's Center for Early Childhood Education, Development and Research. The Center provides educational opportunities to children of families with low income. Dr. Connelly visited the Center to support Wake County's teachers for a job well done in providing differentiated instruction to children with diverse learning needs.
The Center has a five-star rating and operates under Shaw's Department of Education. It serves as a demonstration site for area childcare facilities and provides professional development to Pre-K teachers in Wake County. The teachers are licensed by the state of North Carolina.
