1.       Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology
Contact: 2705 Blandenburg Road, NE., Washington, D.C., 20018, (202) 635-3604, www.ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/dlhinson/DFBSST.htm; Eligibility: African American Students pursuing a technical undergraduate degree full-time at a predominantly black college or university. Award: Contact for details; Deadline: Contact for details

2.       Ron Brown Scholarships---Go to: www.RonBrown.org The award: Leadership, community service, all fields. The deadline is usually in January. This is one of most prestigious scholarships and it's very, very competitive. Get more details from site.

3.       American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP)---Go to http://www.aaaa.org/diversity/ This award is designed to support African-American, Asian-American, Hispanic-American, and Native-American college students.

4.       Actuarial Scholarships for Minority Students---Go to: http://www.beanactuary.org/minority/scholarship.cfm To provide scholarships at the undergraduate or graduate level for certain minority students who are interested in pursuing actuarial careers.

5.       Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship---Go to: www.JackieRobinson.org The award: $6,000 per year. Number of winners is about 100. Academic merit, leadership, community service, all fields.

6.       United Negro College Fund Scholarships---Go to: www.uncf.org/scholarship/index.asp. The UNCF is one of our major scholarship gateways.

7.       Intel Science Talent Search---Go to: www.sciserv.org/sts. The award is from $5,000 to $100,000. There are approx. 40 awards in this prestigious competition. You must present a scientific research project.

8.       NACME Scholarships---(National Action Council For Minorities in Engineering) Go to: www.nacme.org. The award amounts to $20,000, and many are awarded.

9.       NSBE Scholarships---(National Society of Black Engineers). Go to: www.nsbe.org/scholarships. Award amount: Generally range from $1,500 to $3,000 for members of NSBE.

10.   Developmental Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology Scholarships - Go to: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/dlhinson/dfb_sch.htm. Award amount: $2,000 and renewable. Several scholarships granted. This is for science or engineering students at HBCUs. Deadline is June 15.

11.   National Alliance for Excellence Scholarships--Go to: http://www.excellence.org/programs.html. The student competitors can be seniors or already in college.

12.   Harry S. Truman Scholarship--Go to: www.truman.gov. The scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarships, shaped for students who intend to pursue a career targeted to public service or government. The awards can reach as high as $30,000 over the years

13.   IES Minority Scholarships-- Go to: www.iesabroad.org/hbcuScholarship.do. To be eligible, you must attend an HBCU that is a Member or Associate Member of the IES consortium that transfers at least 75% of home school aid to IES.
 

14.   Andersen Consulting Scholarship Program for Minorities

Eligibility: This scholarship is open to African-Americans, Hispanic American, and Native Americans who are enrolled in their third year of undergraduate study. Award: $2,500;
 

15.   Future Leaders of America

16.   American Nuclear Society (ANS) Undergraduate Scholarships

20. NMJGSA (National Minority Junior Golf Scholarship Association)

      24. Science Talent Search Scholarship
