Shaw University encourages all new incoming students to attend New Student Orientation.  The goal of New Student Orientation is to introduce students and families to campus services, resources and the expectations of collegiate life at Shaw University in order to facilitate a successful transition to college.  During New Student Orientation, students attend information sessions, participate in social activities, work with peer orientation mentors, complete the College Student Inventory assessment, take the Accuplacer placement testing, and complete advising and registration for their academic classes.
