NEWS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS DIRECTOR: JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

WSHA 88.9FM Shaw University Public Radio is seeking an experienced radio announcer who has the capacity for public affairs/news production, publicity and management that covers local, NPR, AAPRC programs. Must be effective on the air, able to extend WSHA reach into the community and work well with university and public school students, train volunteers, organize and hold monthly jam sessions, conduct ascertainment and public file sessions

Qualifications: Excellent writing, announcing, production & computer skills. Self motivated, able to work flexible hours including weekends with little supervision. College education needed. Willingness to train and do underwriting, a plus.
