The Shaw University Graduate Council, consisting of the chairpersons and faculty from both the Division of Education, Social Work, and Child Development and the Divinity School, oversees the implementation of each graduate program on campus. The council
is charged with reviewing policies and procedures, program handbooks, curriculum changes, and recruitment and retention. A subcommittee of the Graduate Council addresses needs specific to the academic progression of graduate-level students at Shaw

of Divinity and Master of Arts in Christian Educaiton degrees.
