Alumni Mentor Program

The Shaw University Real Bears Give Back Mentoring program, an alumni initiative, is designed to bring together those with knowledge and experience and those who are developing their careers. The program is about sharing information and knowledge with others through University programming, as well as one on one mentorships. The Shaw University Real Bears Give Back Mentoring program allows the student to access knowledge by reaching out to one of our alumni mentors. It could be very useful to you as you make those difficult decisions pertaining to your career goals. It could also be of assistance to you in job placement upon graduation from college.

What is s mentor and why should you have one?
A “mentor” is a person who has had professional and life experience that can be used to help others learn and develop. The mentor is willing to share these experiences in a manner that the mentee can react to and understand.
