Jerome Boyce, Mister Shaw University
Jerome is an international student hailing from the Caribbean nation of Barbados. The former Mr. Junior for the 2019-2020 academic school year is the son of proud parents Lennox and Sandra Boyce. Mr. Boyce is also a student athlete who represents the
Bears in men’s cross country and men’s soccer and is a co-founder of SISA, the Shaw International Students Association. Jerome is a Spring 19 initiate of the Beta Rho Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. where he currently serves as the chapter
president. Jerome is also a member of the Honors College. Jerome is a devout Christian, a loving friend and an all around fun guy. Mr. Boyce stands on the platform of The Culture Choice which aims to encourage students to get involved and become active
on campus regardless of class, colour or creed. His goal upon coming to Shaw University was to make the most of his experience as he believes your university experience is defined only by you. These many caps he has worn have given Jerome a deeper
understanding of the Shaw U experience and the Shaw U spirit. The two things that he wishes to exemplify as your Mr. Shaw University.
Biancé Wilburn, Miss Shaw University
Biancé Khalia Wilburn hails from Inglewood, California by way of Lancaster, California. Daughter to Ms. LaShan Jackson and Mr. MarQuet Wilburn, Biancé is a Business Administration major with a concentration in Management and a minor in Accounting. As
both a 4-year Presidential Scholar and member of the Honors College, Ms. Wilburn has previously served on the Royal Court as Miss Sophomore 2018-2019 and Miss UNCF 2019-2020. She currently serves on the Deans' Student Advisory Board of the Business
Department and the National Council of Negro Women chapter here on Shaw's campus. Biancé has stood on the platform of "Elevating our Experience" since her sophomore year and has worked it into fruition by working as a student fellow for Common Cause
North Carolina and orchestrating various community service projects throughout her tenure. By always putting her best foot forward, Biancé epitomizes what it means to be a confident, humble, and authentic leader. Upon graduation Ms. Wilburn plans
to pursue a career in Law Practice Management while traveling the world.
Shaw University Royal Court
The Shaw University Royal Court consists of all the kings and queens representing the University. They represent the ideals of the young men and women who attend this illustrious institution. During their reign of service, Mister and Miss Shaw University
and their court collectively participate in several philanthropic and educational endeavors. They also produce on-campus programs that benefit the Shaw University community.
