Bachelor of Arts Degree in English
A candidate for the Bachelor of Arts degree in English must complete a minimum of 120 semester hours excluding deficiency courses and remedial work, complete the University’s core requirements, and earn the grade of C or better in all major courses. In addition, the Division of Humanities, Religion and Philosophy offers minors in English French, Spanish, Arabic, History, and African American Studies.
Major
The Department of Humanities offers a major in English. English majors are required to complete 30 hours in major courses. All students majoring in English must successfully complete the following course requirements:
