Xavier Harris, Mister Shaw University
Xavier Harris is the son of Alyce Harris and grandson of Glinda Harris. Xavier is a determined student from Kinston, North Carolina majoring in recreation management. Xavier’s goal is to help others stay healthy not only physically but also mentally.
His platform is, “A healthy body and healthy mind, helps to make a balanced student.” He has served Shaw University in many capacities, such as a Peer Orientation Leader, Mister SAB (Student Activities Board) as well as Mister Dream Big. Upon graduation,
Xavier plans to coach high school basketball and eventually elevate to the collegiate level.
Masophia Gabriel, Miss Shaw University
Masophia Gabriel is the daughter of Peter and Jacqueline Gabriel, hailing from Norwich, Connecticut by way of Port-au- Prince, Haiti. She is a social work major with a concentration in mental health. Her career goal is to be an advocate for youth that
struggle with varies mental disabilities. Among Masophia’s many achievements, she is a proud member of the Beta Rho Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Shaw University Royal Court
The Shaw University Royal Court consists of all the kings and queens representing the University. They represent the ideals of the young men and women who attend this illustrious institution. During their reign of service, Mister and Miss Shaw University
and their court collectively participate in several philanthropic and educational endeavors. They also produce on-campus programs that benefit the Shaw University community.
