Shaw University Day of Giving 2025

Shaw University will host its annual Day of Giving on May 1, 2025, encouraging alumni, students, faculty, staff, and supporters to come together in support of the university’s mission to provide a transformative education.

The event, a celebration of community and generosity, highlights Shaw’s legacy as one of North Carolina’s oldest historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The Day of Giving provides an opportunity for participants to contribute to the university’s growth, particularly in areas of student scholarships and academic programs.

This year, Shaw University is encouraging everyone to participate using the hashtag #BearWitness, inviting the ShawU community to share their stories and experiences in support of the university’s impact. Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word, the Day of Giving is a call to action for everyone to make a difference.
