Shaw University appoints Tabitha Monroe as Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator

In honor of Women’s History Month, Shaw University’s appointment of Tabitha Monroe as Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA), is a significant moment that celebrates women’s ongoing contributions to leadership.

In this new role, Monroe will oversee compliance, student-athlete welfare, and the implementation of key initiatives aimed at enhancing the university’s athletic programs. As SWA, she will serve as an advocate for gender equity and diversity within the department, ensuring a positive experience for all student-athletes. Additionally, Monroe will serve as the advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), providing support and guidance to student-athletes in their leadership roles and helping to foster a positive, inclusive environment within the athletic community.
