Shaw University Alumna Nikia Smith Sellers Elected to Fulton County Superior Court

Shaw University alumna Nikia Smith Sellers, Class of 1997, has been elected to serve on the Fulton County Superior Court, one of Georgia’s largest and most influential trial courts.

Sellers was elected in June to the Atlanta Judicial Circuit’s Superior Court, which serves Fulton County, home to the city of Atlanta and the state’s largest population center. Her election marks a significant milestone in a legal career dedicated to public service and the administration of justice.

A political science graduate of Shaw University, Sellers has spent her career serving the people of Fulton County through various roles within the legal system. Her professional experience and commitment to justice have earned her recognition as a respected legal leader and advocate within her community.
During her time at ShawU, Sellers distinguished herself both in the classroom and as a student-athlete. The leadership, discipline and determination she developed as a student helped shape a career focused on service, accountability and excellence.
