Shaw University Alumnus Brings the Heat to Savannah, Georgia with 520 Wings

Gary Gordon, a 2010 graduate of Shaw University, returned to his hometown of Savannah after college, craving the hot wings he had enjoyed in Raleigh. Finding that the city lacked a spot that offered wings of the same quality, Gordon decided to fill that gap by launching 520 Wings in 2011.

Fast forward 14 years, and 520 Wings has become a beloved destination for wing lovers in Savannah. The restaurant is celebrated for its signature dishes, particularly the lemon pepper wet wings, as well as its commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients. With the growing demand, Gordon expanded his brand with a food truck, a stall at Enmarket Arena, and a new location on Waters Avenue, where the business continues to thrive.
